The Motel One Post has two special features to offer. Not only is it located right in the city centre on Augustusplatz, close to the opera, Nikolai Church and Gewandhaus. You will also find the Grassi Museum of Applied Arts and Ethnology and the Mendelssohn House here. But the top location of the Design Hotel in the city centre is by no means the only thing you can look forward to. Or have you ever spent the night in a post office? We almost thought so! Now you have the opportunity, because our Motel One Leipzig-Post has breathed new life into the listed building of the old Leipzig main post office. Built in 1964, it served as the headquarters for telegraphy, letter and parcel post for many years. Before that, the site had been home to the station for stagecoaches and postal riders since the 18th century and later the imperial post office.
