The Bad Kissingen Golf Club will once again host the Medical Open in 2026. This tournament offers golfing members of all healthcare professions the
opportunity to participate in a truly traditional event in Bad Kissingen. In addition to the events held as part of the Medical
Open, the German Doctors’ Golf Championship will be held over 36 holes as a special competition—marking its 52nd edition this year. The tournament is open to doctors, dentists, veterinarians, psychologists, and pharmacists who play golf.

The Annual Meeting of the German, Austrian, and Swiss Societies for Hematology and Medical Oncology

Motto: MEN ARE DIFFERENT – WOMEN TOO
This year, the annual conference of the German Society for Angiology is being held under the motto “Men are different, women too!” This refers, of course, to gender differences in vascular medicine. Women still only account for 20-30% of participants in clinical trials in cardiovascular medicine. In addition, gender-specific evaluations are usually lacking. This annual conference aims to motivate speakers and our partners from industry to take another look at their data from clinical studies and, if necessary, to evaluate it retrospectively in a gender-specific manner – or even to initiate new studies. I am sure that this will reveal many interesting and, in some cases, unexpected aspects and results. I would not be surprised if some of these were then also published.
As in the previous year, there will again be numerous workshops, interdisciplinary meetings with other professional societies, and interesting industry symposia on current topics. We will certainly enjoy the contributions of the young angiologists again, but we will also continue to address serious political and billing issues.
